Monica Bellucci in IULM

Cinema - 09 November 2023

The actress will present the film documenting the play about Maria Callas in which she stars

If there is a woman capable of embodying elegance and pride, determination and fragility, dedication and fickleness, this is Maria Callas: opera singer, actress, but above all "icon" - allow us to use the often abused term, certainly not in this case.

An icon is undoubtedly Monica Bellucci who, starting from a modeling career, has landed in cinema building a credibility corroborated also by the choice of "difficult" roles in films by controversial directors (think of Gaspar Noé's Irréversible , Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ, Philippe Garrel's Un été brûlant or Emir Kusturica's On the Milky Road ).

Monica Bellucci will be at IULM to present the docufilm Maria Callas: Lettere e Memorie, directed by Tom Volf and Yannis Dimolitsas, which chronicles the international tour of the play of the same title that she performed. It will be an opportunity to discover the red thread that binds these two great women: between life and art, memory and present, will and passion.

The appointment is for November 15 at 4:30 p.m. in the Auditorium (IULM 6).

At the end of the meeting in the Auditorium, the docufilm Maria Callas: Lettere e memorie will be screened.

The event is open to the public, admission free subject to availability.

This event is phone free.
It is strictly forbidden to record videos and audios, take photographs and use statements by the actress in the press and social media.
