The Free Mover programme allows students to take mobility periods for study purposes at legally recognised universities with which IULM University does not have any agreements.
This represents a further opportunity, specifically if the student wishes to spend a mobility period at a certain university s/he is interested in.
Students are required to directly contact the university they are interested in and to observe all application procedures they will be provided with. Students must verify whether the host university offers programmes compatible with the individual study plan; all this information must be submitted to and approved by the Study Abroad Office. Interested students must have a good knowledge of the language spoken in the country they would like to study in.
This call for applications is published every year; deadlines are settled by the university chosen by the student. However, students must consider the technical time needed in order to have the courses approved in IULM. Therefore, no applications will be accepted if the destinations’ call deadlines are in less than a month. No financial support is provided for this programme.***
The call for the mobility 2026/27 will be published in January 2026

The Erasmus Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) are a typical example of such innovative models.
BIPs combine short-term physical mobility with a virtual component and let participants to work on a common project within a multicultural inter-university team. Activities can take place at partner universities or at IULM (Internationalisation at home).
Since 2022 IULM University has been promoting several Blended Programme opportunities.
