On April 9 the fourt screening of a series of films on the world of fashion accompanied by fashion films, in its second edition
Once again this year, as part of the a.y. 2024/2025 Advertising Lab course of the Bachelor of Science in Fashion and Creative Industries, a series of film screenings has been conceived that, in five encounters, matches each film with one or more fashion films. In fact, the idea behind the review is, as the subtitle indicates, to make "dialogue" feature films that deal with the theme of fashion from various aspects (biographical, costume, historical, etc.) with some fashion films produced by major fashion houses and often entrusted to renowned directors. So next to more or less well-known films directed by filmmakers such as Michelangelo Antonioni, Sofia Coppola, Ridley Scott, we will discover fashion films directed by Jim Jarmusch, Gus Van Sant and Virgilio Villoresi, whose fascinating exhibition The Adventures of Vision IULM hosted last year.
The screenings will be introduced and commented by Prof. Mauro Ferraresi, Dr. Riccardo Caccia and Dr. Giulia Tonucci.
The review is designed for students in the Bachelor of Arts in Fashion and Creative Industries, but it is also open to students from all degree programs in our University.
The review is part of the Badge of Honour activities for students of the Bachelor of Science in Fashion and Creative Industries only. Students' participation in at least five screenings will correspond to the completion of 1 of the 6 activities, for the purpose of earning the Badge of Honour. It is specified that each meeting will include two screenings, one film and one or more fashion films.
