Badge of Honour Activities Academic Year 2024/2025

  • TOP Tutoring: become a tutor to assist middle school students with their studies. This activity, carefully monitored and well documented, is one of those that awards the full Badge of Honour point (following the delivery of the participation certificate by the volunteer students)..
  • Sognielettrici Festival 2024: Participation by students in at least 6 events of their choice (including screenings, meetings, and the conference) over the 6 days of the festival, or participation as volunteers in organizing the festival, will count toward the completion of 1 of the 4 (for master’s degrees) or 6 (for bachelor’s degrees) activities required to earn the Badge of Honour.

  • Training Translators and Interpreters Today: Perspectives and Evolutions: this activity is aimed at students enrolled in degree courses in the Faculty of Interpreting and Translation. In order to complete the honour activity, it is necessary to participate in 2 half-days out of the 4 planned, at your own choice. Below is the structure of each of the 4 half days:

    1. 2 December morning: Keynote speech 1 + Session 1 + Session 2

    2. 2 December afternoon: Keynote speech 2 + Session 3 + Session 4

    3. 3 December morning: Keynote speech 3 + Session 5 + Session 6 + Keynote speech 4

    4. 3 December afternoon: Keynote speech 5 + Session 7 + Session 8

    For the Degree Courses of the Faculty of Interpreting and Translation, participation in at least 2 half-days will correspond to the completion of 1 of the 4 (Master's Degrees) or 6 (Bachelor's Degrees) activities for the purposes of obtaining the Badge of Honour. Attendance will be recorded via the IULM Lezioni app.

  • The Noir in Festival 2024: the participation of students from all Degree Courses in at least 5 meetings/projections during the days of the festival will correspond to the completion of 1 of the 4 or 6 activities (the former for Master's degrees, the latter for Bachelor's degrees), for the purposes of obtaining the Badge of Honour.

  • Debate Club: the participation of students from all Bachelor and Master's degree courses will correspond to the completion of 1 of the 4 or 6 activities (the former for Master's degrees, the latter for Bachelor's degrees), for the purpose of obtaining the Badge of Honour.

  • Honorary Master's Degree awarding ceremony to Vincent Lindon is part of the Badge of Honour activities initiative for all Bachelor and Master degree students and corresponds to the completion of 1 of the 4 activities (for students enrolled in Master degree courses) and 1 of the 6 activities (for students enrolled in Bachelor degree courses) required to obtain the Badge of Honour point.

  • Alessandro D'Avenia at IULM for the lecture series Le strategie della parola: Participation in all meetings is equivalent to the completion of 1 out of 4 required activities (for students enrolled in master's degree programs) and 1 out of 6 required activities (for students enrolled in bachelor's degree programs) necessary to obtain the Badge of Honour point. Punctuality is strongly recommended.

  • Practical seminars on International Sales & Marketing Management held by IULM lecturer Andrea Monti. The seminars, open to all IULM students and recognised as an honour activity for the purposes of the Badge of Honour, are designed to offer students a practical and concrete approach to the world of international sales and marketing, with the analysis of real cases and operational strategies. *Seminar places are sold out

  • Sensi del Giallo: Il Corpo del Reato tra Inganno ed Evidenza: La partecipazione ai tre incontri "Il fumetto giallo. Serialità, autorialità, intermedialità", "La "Milano nera" da Scerbanenco a Bacilieri" e "La parola ai sensi. La trama sensibile del romanzo giallo", corrisponde al completamento di 1 delle 4 attività (per gli studenti iscritti ai corsi di laurea magistrale) e a 1 delle 6 attività (per gli studenti iscritti ai corsi di laurea triennale) necessarie al conseguimento del punto badge of honour.

  • Senses of "Giallo": The Body of Evidence between Deception and Truth: Attending the three talks "Crime Comics. Seriality, Authorship, Intermediality," "Dark Milan from Scerbanenco to Bacilieri," and "The Role of the Senses. The Sensory Plot of Crime Fiction" counts as completing 1 out of 4 required activities (for Master’s students) and 1 out of 6 required activities (for Bachelor’s students) necessary to earn a Badge of Honour credit.

Attendance at all sessions is mandatory and grants one of the six honour activities required for bachelor's degrees or one of the four required for master’s degrees. One justified absence is allowed.
