IULM for Milan Digital Week 2026
All the events taking place between September and October to explore the impact of artificial intelligence and digital cultures.
Once again this year, IULM University is participating in Milan Digital Week. These various events are part of the University’s ongoing commitment to education, research, and innovation: from the Master’s Degree Program in Artificial Intelligence, Business, and Society, to the IULM AI Lab and the IULM Game Lab, all the way to the new Human-Centric Digital Sustainability Hub.
September 30, 2026 – Understanding with AI: How It Changes the Way We Learn and Make Decisions
Featuring Dr. Muccio, an event open to the public to reflect, from a sociological perspective, on how artificial intelligence influences the way we gather information, study, and make decisions. The discussion will also address the opportunities and risks of these technologies, inequalities in access, and data protection.
October 1, 2026 – Unstoppable Women 2026: When the Numbers Don’t Add Up
At 4:30 p.m., at the Talent House in Milan, IULM Professor Elisabetta Risi will be among the speakers at the event organized by StartupItalia as part of Milan Digital Week. The discussion will focus on the relationship between women, technology, business, and access to capital.
October 8, November 12, and December 10, 2026 – IULM Let’s Play: Video Games Under Critical Scrutiny
Three in-person sessions at the IULM Game Lab, curated by Angelo Maria Andriano. Gaming sessions and group discussions will allow participants to analyze the mechanics of video games, from failure to the ambiguity of the rules. Participation is free, and some spots are reserved for external participants.
October 9 and 10, 2026 – AI.motion 2026
The festival dedicated to cinema and audiovisual media in the age of artificial intelligence returns to IULM 6 with screenings, workshops, performances, an exhibition, and an international competition. Free admission while seats last.
October 26–30, 2026 – Sognielettrici 2026
Five days of free admission featuring screenings, talks, and an international conference dedicated to the “New Weird,” exploring fantasy and science fiction through the lens of cinema.
October 28, 2026 – Political Communication and Generative AI
A seminar by the IULM AI Lab, open to students and the public, on how generative artificial intelligence is changing content production, campaign strategies, and the relationship with voters.
