Young journalists picked up professional practitioner cards

A ceremony was held on Wednesday, July 10 , at the headquarters of the Order of Journalists of the Lombardy Region to hand over the Professional Cards from Practicing Journalists to the 14 students enrolled in the first year of the Master of Journalism biennium 2023-2025, XXII edition, at our university. The document was issued by Dr. Riccardo Sorrentino, President of the Council of the Order of Journalists. Also present at the ceremony were Secretary Councilor Dr. Rosi Brandi and Order Treasurer Councilor Dr. Maurizia Bonvini.

It was an important event because IULM University's Master in Journalism is among the 11 schools of journalism recognized by the National Order of Journalists. The collection of the Professional Cards was a first step toward the State Examination, which students will be able to take after the two years of the Master's program, which replaces the internship. Now IULM Master's in Journalism students are full-fledged practitioners, registered in the regional register. And they will continue their work and training activities as trainees at the master's journal MasterX .

The 14 trainees were accompanied by the Strategic Director of Laboratories and Headlines Dr. Daniele Manca, Organizational Coordinator Dr. Marta Lucia Zanichelli and Didactic Coordinator Dr. Ugo Savoia.
