Held on the evening of last July 3 was the Summer Party 2025, the event organized by IULM Alumni, the association that brings together as many as 12,000 graduates of our University. Alongside moments of conviviality with DJ set music and drinks, there was no shortage of opportunities to reaffirm IULM's institutional role.

Introduced by the evening's host Marco Muggiano, President of IULM Alumni, Rector Valentina Garavaglia reiterated her idea of an "open university": "I would like IULM over time to always remain everyone's home. I envision a place where everyone can 'ground' what they want to do; the doors of IULM are always open."

The most anticipated moment of the evening was the awarding of the Alumnus of the Year Award 2024/2025 to Antonella Sberna, vice president of the European Parliament since July 16, 2024, a graduate of the Master's program in Marketing, Consumer Behaviour and Communication. A prominent figure in the international political-institutional scene, Antonella Sberna wished to thank for the recognition through a video message in which she recalled those spent at IULM as "years of dreams, ambitions, intense study but also of human, personal and professional relationships that have marked me deeply."

Confirmation of what Antonella Sberna said also came from other graduates present at the evening. "University was a time of training, fun, and irreplaceable growth," said Tiziana Pistolesi, a graduate in Foreign Languages and Literatures and now Vorwerk Folletto Sales Communication Specialist, while Marianna Palella, a Bachelor of Corporate Communication and Public Relations graduate and currently CEO of Citrus, which she founded herself, spoke of the experience at IULM as something that opens one to confrontation, that pushes one to understand the other's point of view and to the desire to grow even at times supporting different positions from those of the interlocutor. And these are the voices of only two of the many graduates who crowded the University and hold key roles in businesses and institutions.

IULM thus confirms itself as a place of educational-training excellence capable of offering its graduates the tools they need to embark on a rewarding professional career!
