Graduated in Classics at the University of Milan in 1994 with a thesis in the Greek lyrics’ grammar, she is qualified to teach literary subjects, Latin and Greek at high schools in Italy. A native Italian, she has a good knowledge of English and French.
During her university years, from 1988 to 1990, she worked at M&A Corporation (Swiss Bank Corp.), Milan where she was in charge of the digital journalistic archive until 1991.
From 1991 she started working as a substitute teacher at the Liceo Classico Leone Dehon, Monza. In 1995, she was appointed course teacher of Latin and Greek, position that she held until 2000.
She has been in charge of Latin and Greek at Collegio San Carlo, Milan since January 2000. In addition to teaching, she has held various other roles including: Coordinator of the Liceo Classico Intercultural, Head of External Relations, Head of Programming of courses for school-work alternation (law 107) then called PCTO, Head of the school's cultural projects, Vic e-Dean of Classical, Scientific, Human Sciences,International Lyceum.
Always passionate about didactic experimentation, she specialized in Arts Integration in the USA(Annapolis, Maryland) and participated in educational and editorial updating courses also in the USA (San Francisco, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles) organized by ASCD, global community dedicated to excellence in teaching.
Writing activity:
Co-author, together with Kimberly Deignan, of "The future is ancient" the role of theater in education and training, October 2011, Paloalto Editore;
Author of “A Spa for the Soul. How to take care of one’s life with Greek and Latin classics” (2019, Mondadori, now published in the Oscar Mondadori series) and “The Magic Knot. Ulysses, Circe and the bonds that set us free” (2021, Mondadori).
She has edited the weekly column Dizionario del Tempo Presente for the online channel and the social networks of La7, and Our myths, on the digital magazine of Corriere della Sera.
She has published cultural articles for the newspaper Domani.
She publishes cultural articles for the Corriere della Sera and the series of lessons “Our myths” and “The myths of the stars” for the online channels of the Corriere.
Additional activities:
Participates in initiatives related to Long Distance Adoptions, collaborating with the Salesians of Don Bosco based in Addis-Abeba Ethiopia.
Passionate about Greek theater, an interest that she cultivates through reading, writing, participation in conferences or workshops of ancient theater as well as through direct teaching in the classroom and participation with students in the annual festivals organized by INDA (National Institute of Ancient Drama) in Syracuse.
She collaborates with the Aldai Federmanager cultural center in Milan, organizing debates on the topic of current events in the Greek and Roman theater.
She cultivates psycho-pedagogical disciplines and NCG (Non Cognitive Skills) in addition to having included Psychopedagogy and Evolutionary Psychology exams in her curriculum, through readings, updating courses and, above all, direct work with her students.
Member of the board of Koinè International (non-profit association that promotes the diffusion of classical culture) and of GAIN.
Promoter of initiatives for the enhancement of humanities and for a rethinking of the Liceo Classico.
From March 2011 to March 2015, together with some students, she has conceived the organization of a Talent Show staged by the students within the Collegio San Carlo; the project is still successfully underway.
