Roundtables on Arabic language teaching in Italy
Exploring new pathways for Arabic language education
One year after the first edition held in Milan , IULM University and Qatar Foundation International (QFI) are hosting a new series of the Round Tables on Arabic Language Teaching in Italy, to be held on October 23 and 24, 2025 at the Rome site of IULM University, Palazzo Cipolla (Via dei Montecatini 17).
The initiative, titled "Why impactful Arabic language education matters: connecting communities, and strengthening language learning pathways," aims to identify and discuss practical strategies to develop and strengthen Arabic language education pathways in Italy—from primary and secondary schools to universities.Participants will analyze the current state of Arabic language education, identify challenges and opportunities, and propose actionable strategies to improve the quality and continuity of Arabic teaching across the Italian education system.
The roundtable will bring together university professors, secondary school principals and teachers, representatives of the Ministry of Education and regional school offices, along with members of Arabic-speaking communities.
