Culture - 17 February 2025 - Event date 01 March 2025

Lecture by Pablo Yankelevich

On Monday, March 1 at 3:00 p.m. Professor Pablo Yankelevich will held a lecture in Sala dei 146: Exilios en México. Ecos del pasado y retos del presente. The lecture will analyze the cultural, social and symbolic meaning of exile throughout the contemporary age.

It will start from the exile experience of Spanish Republicans, through the experiences of refugees fleeing Chilean and Argentine dictatorships in the 1970s, to Venezuelans in the 21st century. A journey that will also touch on the border with the United States, today at the center of a complex political, social and cultural question.
