L'Oréal for the Future Day 2026 in IULM: sustainability, innovation and social impact

For the second consecutive year, the Athenaeum is hosting L'Oréal's format dedicated to sustainable futures

On Friday, April 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., IULM University will host L'Oréal for the Future Day 2026, an initiative promoted by L'Oréal Italia dedicated to the themes of sustainability,innovation andsocial impact.

Now in its second edition at IULM, the event confirms and strengthens the collaboration between the University and L'Oréal, consolidating a structured dialogue between business, institutions and academia on sustainable transformation issues.

The main theme of the 2026 edition is "The Future We Deserve," a message addressed to new generations that invites them to combine responsibility, awareness and positive vision to build more sustainable development models.

The day, hosted at the Auditorium (IULM 6), will open with institutional greetings by:

- Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Minister of the Environment and Energy Security (videomessage)
- Elena Grandi, Councillor for the Environment and Greens of the Municipality of Milan
- Giorgio Maione, Councillor for the Environment and Climate of the Lombardy Region
- Valentina Garavaglia, Rector of IULM University

This will be followed by an Open Talk with experts from the L'Oréal Group, representatives from the business world, academia and nonprofit organizations involved in promoting sustainable development, who will offer a strategic view on the challenges and innovations that are redefining the international context.

Speaking for IULM will be Prof. Andrea Carignani, Board Member Delegate of the Rector's Office for Technological Innovation, Digitization Advisor and Director of the IULM Digital Sustainability Hub, who will bring the University's contribution on the topic of digital sustainability, highlighting the concrete and growing impact of digital on the environmental, economic and social levels and the trade-offs of digital transformation.

In the afternoon, a keynote dedicated to the social impact of L'Oréal Italia and a series of thematic workshops will encourage discussion among participants and the realities involved.

Closing the event, a lectio magistralis by the Director of Sustainable Development for the European Zone of the L'Oréal Group will offer an in-depth look at the L'Oréal for the Future strategy and future challenges for its implementation, followed by a question-and-answer session.

The day will conclude with a convivial moment.
