IULM al femminile: a March dedicated to women's talent and vision

University - 07 March 2025 - Event date 08 March 2025

March at IULM is a month that speaks to the feminine. From the words of the Rector on the occasion of March 8, to the collaboration with Ewha Womans University in Seoul, to hosting the opening night of Sguardi Altrove Film Festival, our Athenaeum confirms itself as a place where women's merit and leadership are a daily reality

With a female presence that extends from faculty to administrative staff to the vast majority of female students, our Athenaeum confirms every day its commitment to enhancing female talent, merit and leadership.

This year, the month of March becomes an opportunity to reaffirm this commitment through initiatives ranging from culture to international education, all united by one common thread: the promotion of women's vision and role in society.

The Rector's words for March 8

"IULM is made up of women" - with these words, the Rector emphasizes the value of the University's female component: 430 female faculty members, researchers and professionals in the technical-administrative staff, 78 percent female students, 49 percent of the professorships entrusted to women. Numbers that tell a concrete reality, in which female expertise and leadership are not an exception, but an integral part of the university's identity.

A bridge between Milan and Seoul for the growth of women

IULM's focus on the enhancement of female talent also extends beyond national borders. The recent collaboration with the Ewha Womans University in Seoul-the largest women's university in the world-represents a significant step in creating international training and exchange opportunities, strengthening the bond between academic institutions that share the same vision of growth and leadership for the women of tomorrow.

Women in cinema, women telling the world's story

March IULM also becomes a focal point for women's cinema, hosting the opening night of Sguardi Altrove Film Festival, the historic festival that has been promoting female talent behind and in front of the camera for more than 30 years. It is an initiative that reaffirms the role of the university not only as a place of education, but also as a space for cultural dialogue and enhancement of different artistic expressions

March is just a time to turn the spotlight on a year-round commitment at IULM: to build a university where the talent and value of women are always recognized and valued.
