What is UNHCR? What are its objectives, when was it born, where does it operate and why does it exist?

During this IULM Flow Talks appointment, Prof. Massimo de Giuseppe, Rector's Delegate for inclusion and disability, will talk with Dr. Carlotta Sami, spokesperson for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) reflecting on the historical transformations of migratory processes and what different typologies currently exist.
Together with them we will travel around the world, starting from Central America up to the routes from the Sahel and the Mediterranean, comparing the different situations and trying to understand the dynamics behind these migrations, what has been the evolution in the last decade, multilateral institutions response and the impact that the pandemic has had on these mechanisms.
