International Women's Day: a message from Rector Valentina Garavaglia
IULM's heart has a female beat: the Rector's message for March 8, International Women's Day.
Four hundred and thirty women, this is the female community at IULM today, the beating heart of a University that for years has been distinguished by the centrality of women's talent and leadership. Women professors, structured and unstructured, researchers, professionals from the technical administrative staff, all together shape a University in which female expertise is not the exception, but the norm.
With 49 percent of professorships held by women and a female presence reaching 67 percent among staff and 78 percent among female students, IULM is a place where the merit and value of women has never been in question. I, the Director General, Raffaella Quadri, and the entire community of women at IULM bear witness to a model that does not need occasional celebrations because the value of who we are at IULM is affirmed every day.
