Access to university track underrepresented groups applications
Università IULM systematically tracks and measures applications, admissions, enrolments, and graduation rates of all underrepresented and potentially underrepresented groups. This tracking includes:
- Low-income and first-generation students
- Women and gender balance (monitored through the IULM Gender Equality Plan)
- Students with disabilities and Specific Learning Disorder (SLD), supported by the DiversaMENTE Office
- Alias career students (confidential identity protection), tracked for the first time in 2024; These students have the possibility to activate an "Alias identity," that is, to use, within the University, an identity different from the registry identity: the ultimate goal is to ensure those who do not recognize themselves in the gender associated with their biological sex the possibility to see their gender identity recognized
- Non-traditional students (aged over 30), tracked for the first time in 2024
- International students from developing countries
- Refugee and asylum-seeking students, with nationality breakdown included from 2024
These data are formally reported annually and are used to design and implement targeted inclusion measures in line with the Strategic Plan 2025–2027, ensuring equal opportunities at all stages of the academic career.
