Sofia Girelli is a designer and art director with over ten years of experience in branding, visual communication and digital design. She worked for four years as Head of Design in WeSchool, an edtech company engaged in educationalinnovation, leading the creative team and contributing to the developmentofthe visual identity and user experienceof the platform.
Prior to this role, he gained significant experience in companies with national and international reach, including Frank Studio, a digital boutique specializing in fashion and luxury, and Frog Design, a historic global design firm, where he worked on strategic projects for major brands.
As a freelancer he collaborates with companies, startups and cultural realities in the developmentofvisual identity, digital interfaces and visual content for the web, with a transversal approach that integrates aesthetics, strategy and visual storytelling.
He works on art direction for campaigns and shootings, brand identity, UI/UX design and content design. He uses the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Figma on a daily basis, both in the ideation and execution phases
In 2024/25, he is a lecturer in the Computer Science for Creative Communication courseatIULM University, aimed at first-year students, with a focus on hands-on learningofdigital tools for design. He is also an assistant professor in the "UI Design Studio" course at the Politecnico di Milano - Lecco branch,withinthe Master's degree course in Interaction Design.
His work is driven by a strong visual sensibility, attention to detail and constant design curiosity. He believes in clear, coherent design capable of generating meaningful connections between people, content and contexts.
