CURRENT POSITION:
Associate professor at the IULM University, Milan. Director of the first-level Master in Management of Made in Italy, Director of the first level Master in Management and Communication of Beauty and Wellness, Director of the Specialist Master in Management and Communication of Events. Lecturer in Networks Society and Consumption Practices in the Master's Degree Course in Consumer Marketing and Communication; lecturer in Consumer Sociology and Business Culture in the Bachelor's Degree Course in Business Communication and Public Relations.
RESEARCH LINES:
His scientific interests are linked to the analysis of communication processes with particular attention to the social function of new technologies and the transformations due to the advent of digital. In this context, he has carried out basic and applied national and international research on cultural differences, advertising and brands, consumer processes and the social condition of young people, focusing in particular on the contemporary theme of brands as a communication device, the functioning of advertising mechanisms in a sociological key and the transformations of identity starting from postmodern and contemporary changes. From the point of view of research methods, the approach is sociosemiotic, but it has devoted specific attention to qualitative approaches and, recently, to developments in neuromarketing research. He has published numerous books and articles, among which we remember for the publisher Carocci the volume Le nuove leve del consumo (The new levers of consumption), and for the publisher FrancoAngeli Marketing esperienziale (Experiential marketing).
