Vincenzo
Di Rosa is a research fellow at the University IULM University in Milan, where he co-teaches the course on Contemporary Art History
in the bachelor’s degree program in Fashion and Creative Industries. In
2021, at the same university, he earned his Ph.D. in Visual and
Media Studies. He is a member of the scientific committee of the Center for Visual Studies
at the IULM and of the research group IUPS dedicated to the study of
periodicals.
He has spent periods of study and research
abroad at the University of California, Irvine (2020) and University
College London (2014). He is deputy editor-in-chief of the journal “Zona Critica,” and from
2022 to 2024 he served as Editor-at-Large of “Flash Art Italia.” In 2025, he co-founded
“addio,” a publishing project dedicated to militant criticism. He was part of the
curatorial for the exhibition Metafisica/Metafisiche. Modernity and Melancholy,
held at Palazzo Reale in Milan (2026).
He has presented his research at
national and international conferences. He is the author of the monograph Exhibition as Medium: History and Theory
(Mimesis, 2023) and numerous scholarly articles published in journals such as
“Fata Morgana,” “piano b,” “Elephant & Castle,” and “La Valle dell’Eden.” He has
also collaborated with the Istituto dell’Enciclopedia Treccani in the drafting of
several entries for the Encyclopedia of Contemporary Art
(2021).
