Graduated in International Relations and Human Rights at the Faculty of Political Sciences of Turin in 2009, she is specialized in data communication.
For six years she worked in international cooperation as a journalist and consultant, travelling to Africa for citizen journalism training projects. She has been a consultant for Change.org and Produzioni dal Basso as an expert in data driven digital campaigns
She is a founding partner of Dataninja for which she is CMO and head of Dataninja School, the first school on data and data literacy in Italy. In 2014 she won the data journalism contest of La Stampa Academy and the Censimenti Data Challenge of Istat. Together with Dataninja she organized the first hackathon dedicated to non-profit in Italy during the Internet Festival in Pisa.
She is a member and activist of the association Ondata, which promotes openness and accessibility of public data.
As a journalist she has collaborated with Internazionale, Il Sole 24 Ore and Wired writing about innovation and technology
She edits a weekly column in the newspaper La Stampa called DataStorie.
Teaching
In addition to the course on Data Visualization within the Master of Artificial Intelligence, Business and Society, she holds an annual workshop on data visualization at the Master in Behavioral Economics at IULM.
She has been teaching at the Business School of Il Sole 24 Ore for the Master in Cooperation and Development; she has led a workshop on Infographics at the course "Comuni-Care la Scienza" at the University of Naples Federico I; she has been teaching the workshop "Launching a data-driven communication campaign" at the University of Catania.
