Roberto Pisoni is a television and film manager, author and university lecturer with over 25 years of experience in film and international production, specialized in media innovation and AI integration into production processes. Since Nov 2025, VP – AI Innovation, Content & New Media Development at I Wonder Pictures, also Editorial.

Director of the Amazon Prime Video channels IWONDERFULL and Top Doc.

From 2003 to 2025 he worked at Sky Italia: Senior Director of Entertainment Channels (2021-25), Director of Documentary Channels (2020-25), Director of Sky Arte (2012-25) – the channel he conceived and launched, Italy's first dedicated to art and heritage –, Director of Sky Arts Production Hub (2015-25), and Director of Sky Cinema d'Arte (2019-25). From 2003-2012, Programming Manager, Senior Producer and Producer-Director at Sky Cinema.

Previously (1999-2003), author and producer at Studio Universal, creating TV specials, documentaries and film review programs.

Alongside management, extensive university teaching: contract lecturer at IULM ("Elements of Storytelling", A.Y. 2023/24-2024/25, plus seminars 2012-16 with Prof. Gianni Canova); seminar lecturer at Università Cattolica (with Prof. Aldo Grasso); contract lecturer at Tor Vergata (Film Genres); seminar lecturer at La Sapienza (with Prof. Giovanni Spagnoletti).

Author of numerous monographs and essays on film history/criticism, contributor to Enciclopedia del Cinema Treccani. As producer, hundreds of hours of documentaries and several award-winning art feature films distributed internationally. Graduated in Modern Literature (Film History and Criticism) from La Sapienza, 110/110 cum laude, supervisor Prof. Giovanni Spagnoletti.

• Art documentary and the valorisation of historical-artistic heritage through audiovisual media
• Film history and criticism, with particular attention to genre cinema and independent American cinema
• Storytelling and the languages of television and film narrative
• Media innovation and the integration of Artificial Intelligence into production and editorial processes
• Editorial curation and direction of thematic channels (art, documentary, arthouse cinema)
