PhD in Theatrical and Cinematographic Studies at the Department of Visual, Performative and Medial Arts of the University of Bologna, from 2013, he is a lecturer in Media Product Analysis at the University of Urbino Carlo Bo. He is a member of the editorial staff of the scientific magazine Cinergie - Il cinema e le altre arti.
His research interests are focused on the analysis of contemporary serial television forms, media economics and participatory dynamics in audiovisual products. Subject of various publications the analyses on crowdsourcing, crowdfunding in the audiovisual field. The evolution of television genres is the subject of its latest publication, Il cibo nella televisione italiana dal anni Cinquanta ad oggi (co-author Nicolò Gallio, Clueb).
Main areas of scientific interest:
The main research interests, which are the subject of presentations at conferences and scientific publications, are aimed at the analysis of contemporary forms of television serial, the evolution of television genres, the economy of the media and the dynamics of participation in audiovisual products. He also deals with crowdsourcing, crowfunding in film and television, branded entertainment and product placement.
