IT tourism and Japanese culture

As an alternative to the 6-month internship, MITH offers a unique experience in Kyoto, the historical capital of Japan. At Kyoto College of Graduates Studies for Informatics (KCGI), Japan’s foremost IT professional graduate school, MITH students will have the opportunity to study Japanese culture and cutting-edge IT Tourism with Asian students from Japan, China, Malaysia and Indonesia. In addition, each student will spend a 4-month work placement in a tourism company under the supervision of KCGI advisor.

KCGI campuses are located in a very convenient area of Kyoto that allows easy access, not only to the lively city center, but also to other attractive destinations in the Kansay region: Osaka, Nara, Kobe and Otsu

  • Pop culture
  • IT tourism plan design
  • Web programming 
  • Computer organization theory
  • Fundamentals of database technology

December – February : Work placement

Part-time internship in a company in the hospitality and tourism sector with the support of an advisor from KGCI. The internship will be focused on Japanese hospitality and traditions of service.
