Company visits and meetings with leaders in the sector complete the MITH hands-on approach, sharing insights into best practices and cutting edge management tools.


Students have the opportunity to experience a day on a Costa Crociere cruise ship. Through the meeting with the HR director, a learning officer, a member of the hospitality staff and a tour expert, they will gain insight into the complexity and the fascinating challenges of managing a cruise ship.

In addition, MITH students will learn:

  • how to manage an F&B department and a Michelin starred restaurant at Park Hyatt Milano;
  • how to develop winning business models in the tour operating industry, meeting leading companies including Mistral Quality Group and Asian Trails as well as innovative startups like WeRoad;
  • how sustainability as a core value makes a difference in delivering services, through encounters with entrepreneurs of innovative small companies like IL PALUFFO;
  • luxury collection hotel management with the General Managers of  the Excelsior Hotel Gallia (Mariott Group) and the Dorchester Collection Principe di Savoia;
  • how to win a bid for an international congress according to the AIM Group;
  • up-to-date technological solutions for the tourism sector in Amadeus;
  • HRS’ business solutions to increase performance for corporate clients;
  • outstanding digital startup development with founders of Hoxell and Sketchin;
  • destination marketing strategies at the tourism promotion agency, Yes Milano;
  • communication and brand management through events at Museo della Scienza e della Tecnica;
  • how to create ambassadors of luxury brands and made-in- Italy through events at Montenapoleone District, the association of Milan’s most famous shopping street.
