CRiSiCo – Research Center on Complex Systems

CRiSiCo is a transdisciplinary center engaged in research and training projects to address the problems, crises, and transformations of the global human condition, where everything is interconnected.

CRiSiCo is a space for experimentation and dialogue, open to collaborations with research institutions (across science, technology, education, and the arts) as well as with organizations, businesses, and public institutions interested in understanding and managing complexity.

Research Lines

• Study of the contemporary human condition, with a focus on the complexity of global polycrises.

• Study of human evolution and critical futuring, with a focus on human identity in its irreducible physical, biological, anthropological, psychological, social, and cultural complexity, starting from its deepest roots.

• Innovation in educational processes, with a focus on the creative and critical use of digital technologies in teaching and learning processes.

•  Scientific and technological innovation, with a specific commitment to the proactive, transdisciplinary integration of epistemology, philosophy, and ethics into the sustainable development of emerging sciences and technologies.

 Activities

CRiSiCo's activities are structured across several levels:

• Basic research, to advance transdisciplinary and multi-level knowledge of complex systems.

•  Implementation research, with applications across scientific, technological, socio-cultural, and artistic domains.

•  Organizational consulting, to support design and decision-making processes in complex environments.

• Training, offering specialized programs for researchers, professionals, executives, and managers working in the management of complex systems. 

• Train-the-trainer programs, featuring tailored courses for educators and trainers.
