Some of the main areas of operation for graduates of this programme:
- select and analyze cultural contents related to the arts (bibliographic, iconographic, multimedia, etc.);
- collect and interpret data related to the disciplines of the course of study;
- design and build specific cultural contents for activities related to the arts;
- develop documentation pertaining to cultural projects;
- develop texts for the general public regarding to exhibitions and cultural events;
- generate greater benefit from cultural products;
- write critical reports on activities related to the art sector.
The graduate will have a capacity for historical-artistic analysis, expertise in bibliography research specific to the arts, critical knowledge of historical-artistic themes to evaluate existing products, ability to translate the cultural plan into operational plan, ability to process written texts, ability in research and processing of iconographic and visual documentation and ability to apply the laws that govern the art system.

- to favour the active benefit of cultural activities in various contexts and for different typologies of public;
- to divulge artistic and cultural contents;
- to enhance the visibility and benefit generated by cultural products;
- to conduct educational and training activities connected to the artistic sector;
- to bring end-users closer to artistic and media cultures.
The Artistic and Cultural Mediator must possess skills to conduct historical-artistic analysis, ability to analyse the evolution of cultural trends, a critical understanding of historical-artistic themes, critical knowledge of the relationship between the arts and the media, the capacity to translate cultural plans into an operational plan, the capacity of synthesis and re-elaboration of historical-artistic and cultural contents, the capacity to adapt the communicative register and linguistic skills.

- operate in the management of cultural activities and events;
- operate in the production of cultural activities and events;
- communication of cultural activities and events;
- management of relations with third parties;
- planning and logistics of events;
- perform operations to verify compliance with the economic planning of activities;
- perform operations to verify compliance with the rules governing the art system.
The skills required to operate in the above sectors are a broad historical-artistic knowledge, ability to translate the cultural plan into an operational plan, management skills, economic-legal knowledge and communication skills.
