A day of studies to delve into the theme of gender violence, with a focus on data culture as an interpretative lever to understand emerging dynamics and imagine future intervention scenarios.

After institutional greetings by Research Pro-rector Giovanna Rocca and Equal Opportunity Delegate Maria Angela Polesana, the morning will be dedicated to the presentation of the book "Data Science e violenza di genere: analisi di dinamiche e protagonisti ," edited by Emma Zavarrone, Alessia Forciniti and Marzia Coppola. The book will be discussed within a panel discussion by journalist Elisa Pasino. Participants will include:

  • Avv. Laura Ferrari, Mayor of Lentate sul Seveso
  • Matilde D'Errico, author and RAI director
  • Emma Zavarrone, Alessia Forciniti and Marzia Coppola, authors of the book

In the afternoon, the discussion will take on a more scientific slant, with a time to discuss phenomena related to the manosphere, new forms of online and offline violence, and prevention strategies. The aim will be to outline possible developments and effective intervention models, focusing on collective responsibility in the construction of alternative cultural contexts.

The meeting intends to offer a prospective look, oriented toward the construction of a future in which the recourse to the request for "help" can progressively reduce thanks to a strengthening of prevention networks and collective awareness

The initiative is aimed at students, researchers and the external public and is hosted in the context of the scientific-dissemination activities of IULM University.
