TEDxIULM Returns: The Era of Artificial Intelligence Takes Center Stage

Communication - 27 October 2026

On Wednesday, November 11, the IULM Auditorium will host the second edition of TEDxIULM, dedicated to the relationship between the younger generations and artificial intelligence.

How will studying, working, and relationships change for a generation born in the age of artificial intelligence? That is the central question of TEDxIULM, which returns on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in the IULM University Auditorium with a day of talks, discussions, and performances.

The title of the second edition, “Gen αI,” combines Generation Alpha and Artificial Intelligence and invites reflection on the transformations that new technologies are bringing to society, communication, art, and business.

Organized by a team of students from the university and directed by Professor Riccardo Manzotti, TEDxIULM is organized in accordance with the guidelines of the TED license, which allows local communities to host events inspired by the TED conference format.

Thirteen speakers from diverse fields will take the stage, including Gigliola Staffilani, an Italian mathematician and the Abby Rockefeller Mauze Professor of Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); Giuliano Noci, Professor of Economic and Management Engineering and Vice Rector of the Chinese Campus at the Politecnico di Milano; Joseph Oddo, a science communicator and entrepreneur in the field of artificial intelligence; Andrea Vailati, founder and editorial director of ArteSettima; Pepe Moder, an expert in digital transformation and host of #RadioNext on Radio 24; and Francesco D’Isa, an artist and philosopher.

The day’s program will also feature audiovisual works by artist and animator Donato Sansone. The event will be moderated by Massimo Bustreo, professor at IULM University.
