Ricerca - 23 September 2022

Prof. Miconi will present the first results from Brussels on Sept.ember 26

As part of the project EUMEPLAT funded by the Horizon 2020 program and coordinated by Andrea Miconi, Professor of Sociology of Media at our University, a panel discussion aimed at presenting the objectives and the first research results achieved after one and a half years since the start of the project will take place on September 26 in Brussels, hosted by the European Commission at the headquarters of the European Research Executive Agency. The event, which will take place in-person and online, will be an opportunity to reflect and discuss current European media policies and provide the stakeholders with some initial recommendations so as to contribute to the current media debate.

The Roundtable will be held in two sessions (morning and afternoon):

  • in the morning, there will be a joint session entitled "Evolving European media landscapes and Europeanisation: Emerging trends and key policy challenges" with some members of the research teams of three other projects (MEDIATIZED_EU, MEDIADELCOM and MediaFutures) also funded by the Horizon 2020 program.
  • in the afternoon, there will instead be a session entirely dedicated to the Iulm EUMEPLAT project entitled "State of health of European media, and what to do."
