QS World University Rankings by Subject

This year IULM has for the first time entered the World University Rankings by Subject compiled by the international education agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The subject area featured is "Hospitality & Leisure Management". Our University ranked among the world's top 160 universities and is among the only three Italian institutions in the ranking, together with Ca' Foscari of Venice and Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna.

The QS ranking, one of the most prestigious at an international level, classifies universities around the world according to 5 different broad subject areas and 54 narrow subject areas, based on criteria such as Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation and Research, weighted differently depending on the subject areas and disciplines. In the specific case of 'Hospitality & Leisure Management', the score, 95% of which is determined by the reputational component (45% Academic Reputation and 50% Employer Reputation) and the remaining 5% by Research, expresses the preferences of academics and companies from all over the world who voted for IULM in the questionnaires sent out by QS.

For this reason, the achievement obtained by our University should be considered the result of an intense and continuous networking and brand awareness work by IULM in its internal and external communities. IULM's entry in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023 represents a prestigious recognition by the international specialist community of the academic excellence and exemplary professional preparation offered by our University.
