IULM Master's in Journalism honored with 'Nostalgia di Futuro' 2025 award

13 November 2025 - Event date 25 November 2025

A prestigious award from the Osservatorio TuttiMedia for its ability to combine tradition and innovation in training new generations of journalists

The Master in Journalism at IULM University in Milan, directed by Dr. Daniele Manca, has been awarded the "Nostalgia di Futuro" 2025 - Journalism section, promoted by Osservatorio TuttiMedia, an association whose members include some of the leading information and communication companies, including Confindustria Radio Tv, RAI, Mediaset, Google, FIEG and Eni.

The jury wanted to reward the Master's for its ability to train information professionals with vision, competence and a sense of responsibility, in line with the spirit of the award dedicated to the memory of Giovanni Giovannini, FIEG's historic president and a leading figure in Italian journalism.

As stated in the motivation, "the jury's decision recognizes an educational path that, under the guidance of Director Daniele Manca, stands out for its ability to train new generations of professionals with vision, competence and a sense of responsibility - values that fully embody the spirit of the award."
These words underscore the value of a training project that combines journalistic rigor, cultural openness and attention to the technological and social transformations of the world of information, keeping the link between tradition and innovation strong.

The award will be conferred as part of the event "Nostalgia di Futuro," scheduled for Tuesday, November 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mediaset's headquarters on Viale Europa 48 in Cologno Monzese (Milan). The initiative, dedicated this year to the theme "The future for information between man and machine. Towards a new language?", represents an important moment of confrontation between academia, industry and the world of information.

This award confirms the role of the IULM Master in Journalism as a point of reference in the Italian educational offer for the preparation of journalists capable of reading the changes of the present and interpreting the future of the media with a critical and innovative spirit.
