
IULM remembers Luca Beatrice
He was a professor of contemporary art and culture in our Athenaeum
Rector Valentina Garavaglia, President Giovanni Puglisi, Director General Raffaella Quadri, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Fashion and Tourism Massimo De Giuseppe, together with faculty members and the entire IULM University community, participate in the condolences of the Italian scientific and cultural community for the passing of Luca Beatrice, professor of Contemporary Art and Culture at our University.
Born in Turin, Italy, on April 4, 1961, Luca Beatrice graduated in History of Cinema from the University of Turin and received a postgraduate degree in Art History from the University of Siena.
A renowned art critic and essayist, he has curated major international exhibitions, including shows on Andy Warhol, Edward Hopper and Jackson Pollock.
He has held the position of president of the Quadriennale di Roma since 2023.
Luca Beatrice contributed significantly to the promotion of contemporary art in Italy, both through teaching and through his numerous publications and curatorial activities.
The Athenaeum remembers him with esteem, affection and gratitude for his valuable contribution over the years.
