Rector Valentina Garavaglia Opens the Children’s Forum in Milan: Fostering Creativity Means Building the Future.

University - 04 November 2026 - Event date 13 November 2026

The event organized by the City of Milan and the Territorial Pedagogical Coordination Committee is back, offering an opportunity to rethink the city together with the younger generations

IULM is participating in the Children’s Forum organized by the City of Milan, an important opportunity to reflect on the value of education and training for the younger generations.

Education is one of the most beautiful and important ways in which a society builds its future. It means nurturing talents, sparking curiosity, stimulating the imagination, and guiding every child to discover their own potential.

In this journey, education in creativity plays a fundamental role. Art, music, theater, storytelling, and all forms of expression teach children from an early age to see the world with fresh eyes, to think freely, and to develop sensitivity and a critical spirit.

The Rector’s presence underscores the importance of an educational alliance between institutions, schools, and universities, based on the conviction that culture begins with wonder and that creativity is one of the most precious gifts we can offer to future generations.
Because the future needs culture. And culture begins in childhood.
