La Scala reopens: live streaming thanks to IULM

IULM's collaboration with the Teatro alla Scala in Milan strengthens in the emergency. Our University will provide the live streaming of the 4 concerts planned for the reopening of the Milanese Theatre. Follow the live broadcasts on La Scala's social channels and on the IULM website.


After 133 days of closure, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan reopens. And IULM University will be at your side to give all the public the chance to see the 4 opening concerts scheduled for 6, 8, 13 and 15 July for free.

Four evenings of chamber music to which a maximum of 600 spectators will be able to participate live, in compliance with the health protocol, but which an unlimited number of spectators will be able to attend free thanks to IULM's filming, which will be streamed live on La Scala's FB profile and YouTube channel and on the University's website.

Three exceptional names have been chosen for the evening's grand reopening of the Teatro alla Scala on 6 July: baritone Luca Salsi, pianist Beatrice Rana and cellist Mischa Maisky.

On July 8th there will be a performance by tenor Francesco Meli, soprano Federica Lombardi, violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja and pianists Giulio Zappa and Joonas Ahonen.

On July 13, on the prestigious stage of the Milanese theatre we will listen to the singers of the Accademia della Scala and winners of important competitions: Irina Lungu, Fabio Capitanucci, Jongmin Park, Federica Guida, Caterina Sala, Raffaele Abete, Szilvia Vörös accompanied by pianist Michele Gamba.

The final concert, scheduled for July 15, will be performed by several ensembles of the Filarmonica della Scala.

The concerts will all last 75 minutes without interruption.
