IULM celebrates theater - 63rd edition of World Theater Day
March 27 each year marks World Theatre Day, first established by the International Theatre Institute and UNESCO experts on March 27, 1962.
To mark the occasion, Università IULM is celebrating the day by offering the entire student community the opportunity to attend L'opera seria at Teatro alla Scala, directed by Laurent Pelly, and to visit the Stage Design Workshops at Teatro alla Scala, an opportunity to discover the behind-the-scenes workings of each show and learn more about the professions of those who work away from the spotlight.
On the occasion of World Theater Day, now in its 63rd year, a personality from the world of live performance is invited to share his thoughts on the theme of Theater and Peace Among Peoples.
Theodoros Terzopoulos, actor, playwright, director, pedagogue and founder of Attis Theatre, is the chosen testimonial for the year 2025. In his message he ponders on the need for new narrative modes that cultivate memory and create a new moral and political responsibility to escape the multifaceted dictatorship of today's Middle Ages.
