IULM in Gibellina, Capital of Contemporary Art 2026: A Journey Through Art, Cinema, and Memory
From July 9 to 13, a group of students from IULM University will participate in the "L'arte dal vivo" summer program, led by Giuseppe Carrieri, professor and film director
Five days of immersive training through the extraordinary works of public art in Gibellina Nuova and the performances of the Orestiadi Festival.
The educational and creative heart of the trip will be the region’s iconic sites: from Burri’s evocative Cretto to the Segesta Archaeological Park. It is precisely in these settings that the thematic workshops led by Giuseppe Carrieri will take place, focusing on the cinematic gaze, the ancient landscape, and the memory of forms.
The experience will conclude on Monday, July 13, at the Baglio di Stefano with a final presentation during which the students will share images and multimedia materials gathered during this immersive journey of discovery and creation.
