AI.motion: festival on cinema and artificial intelligence returns to IULM
On October 10 and 11, the second edition of the festival
After the success of the first edition, AI.motion - Italian festival of cinema and audiovisual with artificial intelligence, organized in collaboration with the Neural Network association, returns to IULM.
The second edition will take place on October 10 and 11, 2025 at IULM 6, with the aim of critically investigating the increasingly close relationship between audiovisual language and artificial intelligence, in a historical moment in which generative algorithms are transforming the production and fruition of images.
The festival will bring together videomaking professionals, authors, curators, academics, journalists and influencers in a multidisciplinary dialogue on the different applications of AI in film, advertising, content production and the contemporary media landscape.
From October 10 to 14, the temporary installation CODE IN MOTION, curated by Chiara Canali, will also be on view in The Bridge space: a selection of works by Italian artists and video artists who have experimented with artificial intelligence techniques in the creation of their works (closed Sunday, Oct. 12).
The heart of the festival will be the international competition, which will bring works from all over the world to the big screen, with three main prizes:
- Best Short Film
- Best music video
- Best adv
These will be joined by two special awards:
- Prompt Magazine Award
- Rai Cinema Channel Award
AI.motion thus confirms itself as a privileged observatory on the challenges and opportunities that artificial intelligence opens to the audiovisual world, between technological innovation and new poetics of the image.
