Covid Fund: extension of the deadline
It will be possible to apply until 15 February 2021.
In recent months IULM University has set up a fund for the granting of extraordinary pro emergency contributions Covid-19. The fund is aimed at the benefit of students enrolled in the three-year and master's degree courses during the academic year 2020/2021. In view of the prolonged emergency, it has been decided to increase the available fund to 800,000 euros, to broaden the access criteria and to extend the deadline for applying until 15 February 2021. The contribution will be deductible from the third instalment of university fees and contributions for the year 2020/2021.
Already last spring, the Government Bodies of IULM University had set up an emergency economic fund in favour of its students enrolled in the courses of study and who were, following the epidemiological emergency from Covid-19, in serious family financial difficulties.
Part of the fund has already been allocated. However, given the persistence and worsening of the situation, IULM has decided to strengthen its aid to students and families in need, extending and reopening the deadlines for requesting new allocations also in favour of students who have already benefited from an extraordinary contribution, in case of repeated and motivated economic difficulties.
The emergency fund is aimed at providing extraordinary contributions to students who find themselves in particular difficulty and unable to pay university fees and contributions, following an event among those indicated herein, which occurred from February 1 st, 2020 and which can be traced back to the Covid-19 epidemiological emergency:
the loss of a parent;
bankruptcy, forced closure of the family business or a drastic and documented drop in turnover in the absence of other income and assets such as to result in a total ISEE of less than € 43,000.00;
the dismissal of a parent in the absence of other income and assets such as to constitute a total ISEE of less than € 43,000.00.
A specially constituted Commission will assess the individual applications, which must be sent in writing, stating the reasons and accompanied by the documentation needed to assess the application, no later than Monday 15 February 2021 to [email protected] with the following subject: Request for extraordinary contribution Covid-19.
The amount of any extraordinary contribution shall be determined at the unquestionable discretion of the Committee.
The extraordinary contributions are not compatible with the eligibility for the regional scholarship a.y. 2020/2021.
The allocated contribution will result in the reduction of the third instalment of university fees and contributions of the a.y. 2020/2021.
