Elisabetta Risi earned a PhD in Information Society at the University of Milano-Bicocca in 2007. She subsequently held postdoctoral fellowships at IULM University in Milan, working on research in the field of Internet Studies, with a particular focus on the socio-economic processes related to users practices of digital and artificial intelligence platforms.
She is currently an RTDb Researcher at IULM University and has obtained the Italian National Scientific Habilitation for Associate Professorship. She teaches courses in social research methodology as well as in the sociology of cultural and communication processes. She has also lectured at IUVSE in Venice and Verona, and taught at NABA and IED in Milan.
She has organized and participated in panels and conferences, and is the author of numerous publications.
