Patrizia Ranzo, architect and designer, is full professor of industrial design at the Second University of Naples. He is president of the Council of Aggregate Courses in Design and Communication, Design for Fashion and Design for Innovation of the same University. She was coordinator of the PhD in Industrial, Environmental and Urban Design from 2000 to 2008.
As a designer, he has received several awards, in Italy and abroad, including the
1981 and 1983 awards for his work in the field of design, architecture and interior design -Women in Design International Competition, Ross, California; 1985 - Design International Competition, S. Francisco, California. Award for activity in the interior design sector; 1986 - I Premio Atelier Noveau per il design italiano, Seibu, Tokyo; 1987-XIV Premio Compasso d'Oro, Comune di Milano, ADI; selection for the table "Agave" (prod.Stildomus, Pomezia, Roma)-together with S.Cappelli-for the XIV Compasso d'Oro.
He has participated in several national and international exhibitions, including the most recent "Independent Design", Triennale di Milano 2011 and "Quadri di luce", Pavillon Des Arts & Design, Paris 2012.
She is the curator of the "Culture del Design" series for Franco Angeli and of the "Indesign" series for Alinea. He coordinates the research laboratories "Ideas for Peace" for international cooperation and "FA.RE. Fashion Research" for innovation in the field of fashion.
He has promoted several research projects in the field of fashion and design from the point of view of creative factories, interacting with companies, institutions, international research centers. Fabbrica bianca is the most recent project, in collaboration with the City of Science and the Idis Foundation, Naples.
She is the author of several patents of invention and utility in the field of design.
MAIN AREAS OF SCIENTIFIC INTEREST
The main areas of scientific interest are in the field of fashion and design, with particular reference to the field of factories and creative ecosystems. The design thinking sector, as far as the innovation of processes and products is concerned, represents a prevalent area of experimentation and research, which has produced publications, patents, exhibitions in the design and fashion sector. Thought and new industrial organizations, particularly the floating factory, form the backdrop of the most recent experimentations and theories.
