He graduated from the University of Milan in Modern Literature, with Professor Vittorio Spinazzola.
Film critic, film historian and critic, he collaborates with the main Italian magazines and newspapers ("Corriere della sera", "Bianco e Nero", "8½", "Cineforum", "Segnocinema").
He has held courses in film history and criticism at IED/Milano, Università Cattolica di Milano, Università di Udine/Dams di Gorizia, Dams di Torino, IULM. He has obtained the national scientific qualification to the function of university professor of second level for the sector 10/C1 (Theatre, music, cinema, television and audiovisual media) called with DD n. 222 of 20/7/2012.
He has curated retrospectives for the Cineteca del Friuli, the Cineteca di Bologna, the Udine Far East Film, the Trieste Film Festival/AlpeAdria. From 2008 to 2011, he was a member of the selection committee of the Venice Film Festival. He was associate producer of Leonardo Di Costanzo's L'intervallo (David di Donatello for Best New Director, 2013). For the exhibition Postclassici curated by Vincenzo Trione (Foro Romano - Palatino, 2013), he supervised the video-blog of the students of the Faculty of Arts, Heritage and Markets - IULM.
