Roberto Minini

Roberto Minini Meròt, documentary director, was born in Milan on August 9, 1959. He studies philosophy and sociology of art and communication. In 1981 he started his professional activity and in 2001 he founded the production company Myro Communications. He works for RTSI, Rai, Mediaset, etc. His activity moves on the double register of research and cultural production, obtaining attention and prestigious awards in important international showcases such as: New York Film Festival, Rose D'Or, etc., in particular with "Talam", a six-episode film work that leads him to explore exotic and distant worlds (Vietnam, South Africa, Morocco, Lapland, etc..) narrating the musical epic and the anthropological and landscape interweaving. He made the docufilm "365, il tempo di un viaggio" about the famous jazz player Paolo Fresu, distributed in theaters, with critical and public success. The filming, carried out from Argentina to Indonesia, from Europe to Africa, to the United States, was an opportunity to further deepen the relationship between media and cultures of the territory that continues to characterize his research as a documentary filmmaker. In 2014 he made the film for the cinema "Calcolo infinitesimale" with Stefania Rocca and Luca Lionello, entirely shot in Stromboli, soon to be released in cinemas.

In recent years he has had the opportunity to practice as a teacher, in Rome, at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of La Sapienza University, working with the chair of Prof. Enzo Papetti, as a tutor at the Laboratory of Film Experimentation "Cut". Since the academic year 2006/2007, in Milan, at the IULM University, he has been the holder of the integrative courses, first for the Laboratory of Radio and Television Design and Production and then for the chair "Intangible Assets" of the Faculty of Tourism. For Prof. Roberto Provenzano he held seminars in Feltre and Milan on the themes "Cinema and Industry" and "Cinema and Tourism". From 2007 to 2012, every year it has managed, for the same University, workshops dedicated to the enhancement of the image of Milan in preparation for Expo 2015.
For the Academic Year 2012/2013 he is the holder of the Official Course "Promotion and Communication of the Tourist Experience" for the Degree Course "Tourism Events and Territory".
For the Academic Year 2014/2015 is the holder of the supplementary course "The story of the territory through events" for the Degree Course in Tourism: culture and development of territories.
