Italo Marconi works with companies and institutions as an advisor and fractional executive on growth, innovation, and artificial intelligence, and teaches at universities, business schools, and innovation ecosystems.
With over fifteen years of managerial experience, he has served as Chief Innovation Officer, Partner, and Executive Board Member at consulting firms specializing in innovation and digital transformation; as VP of Products & Customer Experience at an international technology group; and as Managing Director of a company specializing in the design and development of digital products and services. He has worked with organizations in the healthcare, retail, banking, fashion, media, telecommunications, and technology sectors. Today, he advises leadership teams, founders, and institutions on growth strategy, AI and data strategy, product and platform strategy, and organizational transformation. He also serves as a mentor at business accelerators and incubators.
Since 2010, he has taught business strategy, innovation management, entrepreneurship , artificial intelligence, customer experience, and digital transformation at business schools , academies, and innovation schools. Previously, he was a Marie Curie Research Fellow at University College London and Södertörn University in Stockholm , a Research Fellow at the Casa de Velázquez in Madrid, and a Visiting Researcher at the Warburg Institute in London and the Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut in Berlin.
He earned his Ph.D. jointly from the University of Naples Federico II and University College London, an Executive MBA from the POLIMI Graduate School of Management, a master’s degree in Interactive Environments and Multimedia Content Design, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Florence. He has studied, lived, and worked in six countries.
