Paolo Legrenzi graduated in 1965 from the University of Padua, having as a teacher Paolo Bozzi. He continued his training in London with Peter Wason and Philip Johnson-Laird, pioneers in the field of psychology of thought. In 1974 he was a lecturer at the University of Trieste, from 1988 to 1990 he held a professorship at the University of Geneva, then he was an Honorary Visiting Professor at the University College ofLondon and a Visiting Professor at the University of Princeton. He is a member of the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti, of the Association for Psychological Science, of the Associazione il Mulino (president of the Editorial Board since 2012) and of the evaluation team of the University of Aix-Marseille. He is Professor Emeritus of Cognitive Psychology at the University Ca' Foscariof Venice and President of the Scientific Committee of Ca' Foscari Competency Centre. He is president of LUISS X.ITE, the LUISS consumer research and marketing centre. He has worked in the consumer field with FIAMM, IVECO, Ferrero, L'Orèal and in the behavioural finance sector as a consultant for Unicredit, Credem, Banco Popolare, Mediolanum and Banca Generali. He keeps a weekly letter dedicated to behavioral finance, Money in the Head, for GAM. Over the years he wrote for the types of Laterza, il Mulino and Raffaello Cortina and for the newspapers Gazzettino, Repubblica, Sole24Ore. He is currently a lecturer in consumer psychology at the IULM, as part of the ATENEO PER LA CITTA' (ATHENS FOR THE CITY) programme.
