CURRENT POSITION
Contract holder for the official course in Editorial Translation - German I (L-LIN/14) at IULM University. An editorial translator from German with over twenty years of experience, she collaborates with major Italian publishing houses (Einaudi, Mondadori, Rizzoli, Feltrinelli, Sellerio, Marsilio).
A graduate in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures, she attended SETL - European School of Literary Translation. She is president of the cooperative NTL - The New Literary Translator.
She has translated more than 80 works of fiction and non-fiction from the German-speaking area for major Italian publishing houses, contributing to the dissemination of contemporary and classic authors in Italy.
Awards include: Capalbio Prize for Translated Works (2024), German-Italian Prize for Translation (2012), Mittner Prize (2006).
Since 2015 he has been a jury member of the Mazzucchetti-Gwschwend Italian-German Translation Prize.
He collaborates with festivals, cultural institutions and museums, in Italy and abroad.
He has taught at Italian universities (Palermo, Bergamo, Perugia) and as part of training programs for professional translators (Casa dei Traduttori Looren, ViceVersa, Laboratorio Italiano).
LINES OF RESEARCH
Literary translation from German into Italian; translation theory and practice; translation of contemporary and classic fiction, non-fiction and children's literature; translation training and didactics.
