CURRENT POSITION:
Tenure Track Researcher (RTT) in Computer Science (INF/01)
Stefania Boffa is a researcher of type RTT in Computer Science (INF/01) at the Faculty of Communication of the IULM University. She graduated with honours in Mathematics at the University of Salerno and obtained a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Insubria. She was a postdoctoral researcher at the “Institute for Research and Applications of Fuzzy Modeling” in the Czech Republic and a research fellow at the University of Milano-Bicocca. She has collaborated as a research fellow and tutor at the University of Salerno and as a contract teacher, tutor and supervisor of degree theses at the University of Insubria. She obtained the national scientific qualification (second level) in “Logic, History and Philosophy of Science” (11/C2) and in “Mathematical logic and complementary mathematics” (01/A1). She is an associate editor of the journal Soft Computing and a reviewer of many scientific journals and conferences. She has participated in numerous international conferences as a speaker (also invited), organizer of special sessions, organizing committee, chair, program committee member, and publicity chair. She is a co-author of more than 30 publications in journals and proceedings of international conferences (dblp: Stefania Boffa). Her research activity concerns AI and focuses mainly on developing mathematical models for knowledge representation and uncertain reasoning. Website: stefaniaboffa.com
