CURRENT POSITION:
Associate Professor of Economics, Angela Besana plays different roles (lecturer, quality assurance, stages and internships tutor, etc.) for the IULM Faculty of Arts and Tourism. She is member of the Faculty of the IULM Doctoral Program Communication, Markets and Society. She is member of the scientific committee of the ICOAE International Conference on Applied Economics and chair in several conferences. She is reviewer for several journals.
After having studied law, economics, and applied economics, she started to collaborate with Professor Carlo Ricciardi in IULM. For decades, she has lectured nationally (IMT School for Advanced Studies in Lucca) and internationally (IESA Arts & Culture School in Paris; BSB Burgundy School of Business in Dijon) about economics of culture and creativity, nonprofit economics, tourism economics, fundraising and sustainability. In IULM she is now lecturing about economics, applied economics and economics of tourism.
RESEARCH LINES:
Main research topics concern microeconomics, macroeconomics, economics of tourism, economics of culture and creativity, fundraising, economics of information, nonprofit economics, sustainability, economics of fashion and economics of music.
