Semester abroad

The Semester Abroad programme allows students to take mobility periods for study purposes at partner universities with which IULM University has stipulated partnership agreements. Fee-paying programme.

Participants will attend an academic semester, a term  or a double degree programme.

Unlike the Exchange programme, the Semester Abroad proramme is a fee-paying programme: students are required to pay enrolment fees at the host university. For the duration of the mobility period, students must be regularly enrolled at IULM University and be up to date with the payment of university fees.

Scholarships are provided by IULM University according to a merit ranking. Partner universities, the relevant application deadlines, as well as application requirements are listed in Annexes Destinations.

CALLS FOR APPLICATIONS 2027

(STUDY ABROAD MOBILITY IN 2027/28)



To apply for any mobility call, you must provide proof of meeting the required language proficiency level for your chosen host universities at the time of application. Here is what you need to do: 

1. Do you hold an international language certificate or diploma?
Check the FAQ – Language Requirements for IULM Mobility Calls 2027 guide to verify if it is eligible

2. Don’t have an eligible language certificate or diploma?
Register for the IULM Language Proficiency Tests by October 31, 2026 through the webpage of ILC


Updated regulations and destinations for mobility during A.Y. 2027/28 will be published in January 2027.

EXCHANGE — SEMESTER ABROAD CALLS FOR APPLICATION  2026


Calls for international mobility, for departures in A.Y. 2026/27, will be published starting from mid-January 2026, except for the call for the dual degree with Royal Roads University (students of CIPR/CCPR), which will be published in December 2025 and the call for the master's degree in Strategic Communication, which will be published in June 2026.
In order to apply you must demonstrate that you have the linguistic proficiency required by the host universities.

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS: students enrolled in the second year of the degree course of COMUNICAZIONE D'IMPRESA E RELAZIONI PUBBLICHE (Italian or English curriculum) in the academic year 2025/26

HOST UNIVERSITY: ROYAL ROADS UNIVERSITY

LANGUAGE: ENGLISH

MINIMUM MEAN: 24/30
