Tactile Visions, in collaboration with ALCANTARA

IULM University, always attentive to market trends and to the education of future generations, in April 2023 welcomed with great enthusiasm the opportunity to host the exhibition Tactile Visions - Art and Matter, in collaboration with "ALCANTARA," a company that gives its name to the famous synthetic fiber material that for years has been a symbol of innovation and versatility in the world of design and industry, and in this exhibition offered students and the public an extraordinary opportunity for discovery and inspiration: a metamorphosis from material to art object, thanks to a process of compression, breakage and recomposition, to give birth to objects with sinuous and suggestive shapes, soft and enveloping textures.

The Athenaeum's goal is to create a bridge between the needs of industry and the aesthetic aspirations of contemporary society, promoting creativity and experimentation as tools for innovation and development. The exhibition was not only a visual experience, but also a tactile one, where each object conveyed a powerful message: beauty and utility can coexist and be transformed into advanced design solutions that spoke to new generations with revolutionary force.
