Individuals and society in change and persistence. Fragments of reality in the digital age

The book, the result of the collaboration of several authors, offers useful tools to understand our behaviours and the most relevant phenomena of life today. On the one hand, it describes the changes that have taken place in the digital age and, on the other, it describes what has remained unchanged over time, both in terms of individual values and behaviour and in terms of social mechanisms and logics. These seemingly heterogeneous fragments, which, together, contribute to composing the great mosaic of today's society and helping understand its future prospects . In addition to the contrast between change and persistence, it also highlights the three-fold level - individual, local and global - at which we live and where the uniqueness and needs expressed at the individual level, the influence of the local environment and the generalised belonging to a global world coexist, sometimes in a conflictual way.
