Language requirements

Non-EU students residing abroad

If you are interested in one of the two-year Master’s degree courses offered in Italian you will have to provide proof of your language proficiency by submitting an official certificate (i.e. CILS, CELI, PLIDA) at level B2 of CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) or by passing an Italian online language assessment test organised by IULM in the months prior the start of the academic year.

IULM University also offers the opportunity to attend an intensive Italian language improvement course organised at the beginning of September.

If you are interested in a two-year Master’s degree course taught in English you will have to provide proof of your language proficiency by submitting an official certificate with a score equal to or higher than level B2 of CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) in compliance with official certificates listed in the Admission Regulations or by passing a English online assessment test to ascertain your level of proficiency with a score equal to or higher than level B2 of CEFR.

Our team will carefully evaluate all the documentation submitted, check that the access requirements have been met, evaluate and confirm eligibility prior to taking the admission test for your chosen two-year Master’s degree course.

Further details on the procedures and contents of the admission test for each two-year Master's Degree Course are available by consulting the Admission Regulations published on this page.
